Employment strengthens communities at all levels.

Working citizens provide tax revenue and are able to purchase goods and services from businesses in the community. Businesses run at top-efficiency when full staffed with trained and motivated employees. When its citizens are employed, the government is able to re-direct tax collars to provide fundamental community services, rather than finance public assistance.

Goodwill Industries of Hawaii provides Mission Services, Commercial Services, and Community Services, to strengthen Hawaii’s communities through the power of work.

Did You Know?

Over the past 5 years, Goodwill’s service to the community has grown, serving more than 50,000 and placing over 8,500 program graduates and participants into jobs throughout the state during this period.
